Centennial Colorado Art

Pollinator Estimation Month is celebrated this weekend with the annual Centennial Chalk Art Festival on Saturday, April 30. Centennials are celebrated by creating Centenials over the weekend with local chalk artists from across the city.

The chalk artists create amazing artworks while listening to live music from local bands, local artists and local food trucks. The event will feature demonstrations and crafts prepared and sold by local artisans, as well as food and drink sellers and a variety of local vendors.

This activity is a great alternative sport to help students get closer to archery. Young art teaches the students how to draw and use different techniques, but also allows them to choose what they want to learn.

The Denver Sketch Club of the 1880s was renamed the Colorado Association a year later, and years later an exhibition of artists from Colorado Springs was organized, which led to the founding of a "Colorado Springs Art Club," which later became the "Denver Art Society." The annual exhibition, which included 13 founding members, attracted well-known American artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Arthur Alden, Robert A. Mapplethorpe, John Singer Sargent, Charles Lindbergh and other artists from neighboring New Mexico. In addition to her work, she has had a series of exhibitions at the Denver Museum of Art and the Art Museum in Denver, Colorado.

The group, called the Colorado Springs Women's Art Society, wanted to include all the city's female artists, with an emphasis on the art of women and women of color. The increasingly settled character of Colorado Springs in the late 19th and early 20th centuries allowed more artists to make a living from their art and teaching. By supporting the community's leading artists, it provided employment opportunities and helped them quickly consolidate their reputation as professional artists.
